Why I Started This Business

I have been in the web host and design business since 1997. However, this particular business was started in 2007 after 10 years running under a different name. The reason for the change? The name!

Previously, I had run my website hosting and design business under the name DLD2000.com LLC, which was originally formed as a telecommunications company. However, that name really says nothing about the web host business. It may not have held me back, but it certainly did nothing for sales.

Now that I live in Virginia, it only makes sense to not only organize the business under a new name but also to make it a name that is specific to where I am doing the business. Even though my customers come from all around the world, it still makes sense to me to have a local presence and identity. This is what led me to establish Virginia Host LLC with the Commonwealth of Virginia in May 2007.
